Hi, hopefully someone is looking at the new forum, and can help me. I have a pressurization problem, with the cooling system in my car. The engine has been fully rebuilt, less than 1200 miles since, and runs very well. My problem seems to be that the cooling system seems to be pressurizing itself. I spoke with WB, and he pointed me in the direction of the pressure relief valve situated in the neck of the radiator. Unfortunately, this is seixed solid on my rad, and I have been unable to unscrew the little stopper, to retract the relief valve. I'm pretty sure the valve is seized, because, again, thanks WB, I was told to try and push a stiff wire down the hole at the top of the valve housing, to see if the ball and spring moved, which they didn't. My question is this; Have any other members experienced this problem, and if so, how did they overcome the removal of the little screw 'cap' to access the relief valve mechanism? Any and all help very much appreciated. Thanks Phil Posted by Offord4.3 24/05/2012 22:09:13
