I am pleased that someone else appreciates that the correct finish for the rear axle is aluminium paint - traces of this were apparent on my 12/60 which I believe were original. Posted by DeaneHarding 08/10/2018 15:11:04

Hi Deane....... Yes I agree mine was original unsullied but tatty in some parts..... I cleaned all the paint of completely but it didn't look good as the casting, whilst cleverly shaped showed all sorts of figuring obviously from what was thrown in the Ally scrap before melting. I used Eastwood "Aluma Blast" spray paint from Frost. Seems very good up to now! Posted by FLYJCW 10/10/2018 18:40:20
