Although I had a 1960 TD21 dhc (421MPO, where are you now?) from the late 1960's I knew nothing about the prewar cars. It was seeing and buying Alvis In the Thirties early in 1972 in a motoring bookshop in Chiswick - Chater and Scott? that attracted me to them and responding to a Motor Sport Classified advert for a wrecked Speed 25 dhc and buying it for £250.
