HELLO from Germany

Hello , my name is Markus and I am new to this Forum and Club. I am 53 years old and live in Heidelberg Germany. For all my life I have been a petrol head and in my youth my heroe was Jim Clark , so no wonder I am very mad about British Cars. We did see him race and sadly die, as the racetrack was close to our house. My latest addition to my addiction is an Alvis 1932 Firefly DHC , reg.VJ4913, engine no. 10660, Chassis 10210 , that I could aquire in England during these stormy days at the British coast. At this point I want to thank Mr . Fleischmann from the Alvis Owners Club for his advice, as I had no experience with ALVIS cars. As I am loving to work in my garage I hope to be in contact with people from this forum to exchange and learn from the technical expertise certainly present here. Pictures tell more than words ... I will try to do so. Kind Regards , Markus [attachment=0:1r93t2r3]<!-- ia0 -->Bild 22.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1r93t2r3] Posted by firefly1932 22/02/2014 12:09:47

Greetings Markus and welcome aboard. Membership of the AOC extends all the way around the world, even in the land "down under" here in Australia. We look forward to your contributions. Happy motoring. Regards Richard Posted by RichardWallach 27/02/2014 03:13:02

Good morning Marcus. I trust you will enjoy your car. It is such a well proportioned and attractive car. It was for sale, close to me, here in Dorset, and I did go to see it as I know the vendor well. In the past I have also had contact with the previous owner but one. Take care Mike Wheadon Posted by Mike Wheadon 02/03/2014 07:18:28
