antifreeze

Having not long purchased my first classis car Alvis TE21 can anyone please guide me on the correct antifreeze has there seem to be several different types out their some of which are said to be damaging to seals etc on older cars .  Any help would be gratefully appreciated many thanks. I use Comma Super Coldmaster, which includes Mono Ethylene Glycol, which apparently is suitable for old cars. I have had no problems with it. Posted by Philip 31/10/2013 16:34:05

Have you considered using the Evans Waterless Engine Coolant..?  Perfect for old cars (and many other applications), NO corrosion, no build up of pressure, protects an engine to a much higher temperature than conventional coolants and lasts forever..!  I use it a lot here in Australia and not had any issues at all with it.  Mark. I use Evans waterless coolant here in USA, and I swear by it! You can't boil it, and can't freeze it, and like you say it has no detrimental effects, no iron/aluminium dielectric problems. I recommended it on this site a while ago. I also find that if you have a coolant leak it does not evaporate.... I had a few drips from my waterpump which formed strange puddles on the garage floor!
