Double Duck Hoods

The double duck hood on my 12/70 drophead is about 12 years old, and still in good condition. It has however faded from black to various shades of grey. I'd like to dye or paint it to restore the colour but I am apprehensive in case the treatment will make the material stiff or leave a patchy result. Ive used Renovo on the old Duck on my SP20 with no problems at all as has my father on his MG. - Don't let any splashes dry on your paintwork though, it'll never come off.  Shaun Posted by shaun matthews 30/05/2012 13:45:52

Bit of a bodge, but I have 'cheered them up' by spraying a very light coat of aerosol black paint - just enough to darken but not enough to form a visible film. Nick Simpson. Posted by Nickalvis 30/05/2012 19:50:22
