Wales Section Weekend and Section Day at St Florence, Pembrokeshire and Pembroke Dock

Five couples arrived at The Elm Grove Country House Hotel in St Florence for the Wales Section Weekend, on Friday 13 May. This was the delayed Centenary Celebrations which were cancelled in 2020. We were joined on the Saturday by 4 more cars for a run out across the Preseli hills and on to Newport Pembrokeshire for Lunch.

The Section Day was held at Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, which is housed in the historic Royal Dockyard Chapel, Pembroke Dock, the birthplace of T G John. 18 Members attending with and without an Alvis, we were delighted that this number included 3 new members from the locality.
AOC President Frank Kay was awarded the prize for the car that the Mayor of Pembroke Dock most wanted to drive home. The event culminated in a cavalcade to Church Street, to see the now rather shabby Blue Plaque that the AOC supplied in 2014 to mark TG John’s birth place.
