Alvis gains top award

The Sherborne School Historic Vehicle Rally held every year in the Sherborne School Courts is considered by many to be the most prestigious classic car event in the South West of England. Mark Kirby’s 1935 Crested Eagle not only won the Seymours Cup for Post Vintage Cars but was also awarded a special trophy for being voted as The Best Car on the day - a remarkable achievement.
The Sherborne School Historic Vehicle Rally held every year in the Sherborne School Courts is considered by many to be the most prestigious classic car event in the South West of England. It is organised by the local Rotary club and raises substantial funds for local charities and always attracts more than 100 vintage and classic cars. Alvis were well represented as is usual with 12 cars on display, Rob Joyce and John Harvey picking up second and third places in the Rotary Rose Bowl section, awarded for Post Vintage cars.
