Peter and Jenny prepare to set off in their TA21 DHC
With thanks to our Secretary Mark Kingstone twenty or so East Anglia members enjoyed a voluminous Sunday roast at the Royal Oak, Barrington in Cambridge. We had two TA21s in the car park courtesy of Chris and Magdelena Davey and Peter and Jenny Maynard, which made the writer embarrassed for not bringing his TA21. Clare Symes who has recently cured a misfire was reluctant to bring her TA21 because she felt that she hadn’t tested the repair sufficiently. For various reasons others didn’t bring their Alvis cars which was a shame because the Autumn weather was absolutely glorious.
Mark Kingstone shares the joke with Clare and Sue. Trevor is not impressed.
We have to thank the staff for putting up with our constant chatter which made it difficult for them to place the correct platter in front of the correct individual and for their patience in mopping up what seemed to be a consistent spillage of drinks.
This last event of the year gives us an opportunity to reward specific individuals with a couple of trophies exclusive to East Anglia. The Ed Norris trophy went to Pete Barratt for his dedicated work in organising the recently successful Autumn Break at Seckford Hall. The Brian Smith trophy went to Chris Davey for his perseverance in eventually getting his newly acquired TA21 to an event following several breakdowns on route to planned outings.

Sadly David Stokes told us of the very recent death of Mike Baker one of our long standing East Anglia members. Our condolences go to his wife Carol and the family.
