WALES: The Abergavenny Steam and Vintage Rally - As in previous years, to be held in Bailey Park where we shall be able to occupy an attractive spot at the top of the field. This is a well-attended show in the centre of the town, with a wide variety of steam machinery, classic cars, trade stands and with continuous events in the arena, including a display by a prize winning team of Heavy Horses.
Friday 19th to Monday 22nd May - International APPF Fougeres Rallye, Saumur France - The event this year visits the beautiful historic town of Saumur, situated between the Loire and Thouet rivers and surrounded by the fine Vineyards of Chinon, Borgueil and Saumur itself. It is located approximately a 3 hour drive south of Caen, close to the port of Ouistreham, and the crossing from Portsmouth. The event is conceived to make the most of beautiful countryside, quiet French roads and visits to Chateau and places of interest. Sunday morning is a visit to a Tank museum, and of course no visit to France would be complete without fine dining and good wines. SOUTH WEST: SW Alvis Weekend. We once again begin with a Road Run to include areas of beautiful Exmoor and all AOC members are very welcome. An extremely picturesque route has been planned providing some of the finest views of Exmoor, which avoids the holiday traffic along the North Devon coast.
By popular request our South West Alvis Day will be returning to the National Trust Property, Knightshayes Court, one of the finest estates in the South West of England, located in Bolham, Tiverton, Devon EX16 7RQ. The estate is easily accessible from junction 27 of the M5.

All veteran, vintage and classic (pre 1970 designs) cars, bikes and other road vehicle welcome, especially Alvis cars - Tea, coffee and cakes, BBQ and bar available. NORTHERN: Calder Holmes Park, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX7 8EE. Organised by The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge, the Vintage Weekend is an annual rally for vintage, veteran and classic vehicles held in the West Yorkshire Town of Hebden Bridge, in the heart of the South Pennines.

SOUTH WEST: A picnic for AOC members is to be held in the grounds of the National Trust's Great Chalfield Manor near Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire SN12 8NH by kind permission of the donor tenants Robert & Patsy Floyd. This is a romantic moated medieval manor with an Arts & Crafts garden. The house has featured in many films most recently Wolf Hall and Poldark. Drive through the archway and park in the courtyard in front of the house. Bring your picnic to arrive any time after 11.45am. Afternoon tea can be taken in the 1920s garage forecourt of the house still complete with its glazed canopy for washing the motors. Excellent guided tours of the house are available.
