Chateau Impney Pop Up Event
At the invitation of Steve Wilson and his team at Fisher Restoration about 24 Alvises with nearly 50 members attended a ‘Pop up’ event at Chateau Impney. An interesting selection of Alvises attended (with a few moderns due to the prospect of inclement weather) amongst which were a Silver Eagle, Speed 20s and 25s, TA21s and 3 litres (a very pretty TD series 1 DHC amongst others).
Members came quite a distance ... Sheffield was probably the furthest and for three of them this was the first event they had attended since joining. It was quite delightful to meet old friends and welcome new members to an event which was for many the first occasion to get out and about in their Alvises for 18 months.
The event, shared with the Aston Martin Owners Club, allowed everyone to wander around the workshops and showrooms, chat with the engineers, ride e-bikes around the estate and enjoy a delicious lunchbox washed down with non-alcoholic beverages provided by Dave Dobson’s daughter Leanne courtesy of her mobile bar.
