AOC donation to Ukrainian refugees in Poland

The current situation in Ukraine is bringing great sadness and anxiety to many.  Members will be aware of the huge numbers of Ukrainian refugees that have been arriving in neighbouring countries and their need for supplies of all sorts, including warm clothing, having been forced to leave their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs.

With this in mind, thoughts turned to the residual clothing stock, which we attempted to sell in the clearance sale early last year - much of which failed to sell because it was small sizes more suitable for children.  The remaining stock was held by two of the AOC Directors.

Members will be pleased to learn that, following agreement from Alan Stote of Red Triangle to this use of these badged items, all of the residual stock (three large plastic storage boxes) is now on its way to Poland courtesy of the Malvern and Loughborough Polish communities. There can be little doubt that this will be an excellent use of the 60 garments that remained unsold.
